Geoff joined Melco Crown Entertainment in 2006 as one of the first employees of the joint venture and that has become one of the region’s leading developer and operators of world class, fully integrated Entertainment Resorts. From 1995-97 Geoff was the Executive Producer of Crown Casino’s award winning Season’s of Fortune show in the Melbourne property’s central atrium space. The first of its kind attraction is still wowing audiences daily and signified the beginning of a long and successful business friendship between Geoff and Crown. As a result of this relationship, when Crown and Melco teamed up to develop the entertainment driven City of Dreams project in Macau, Crown brought Geoff in to direct the “special effects attractions” that have been instrumental to the property distinguishing itself as a world leader in cutting edge entertainment place-making experiences.
As Creative Director Geoff is responsible for producing international award winning attractions such as the Dragon Treasure show, the Vquarium Mermaids, and most recently SOHO for the company’s City of Dreams property in Macau. He is also completing work soon on ‘confidential’ new attractions for City of Dreams Manila, planned to open later this year. He and his team are currently developing all of the non-gaming attractions, along with a few surprise features, at Studio City, Melco Crown’s newest Macau development, opening in 2015.
After starting his career in traditional hotel development with Denver Colorado based AIRCOA in the early 1980’s, Geoff joined Lucasfilm in late 1988 and helped them start two companies. Skywalker Development Company, was a developer of special effects driven urban entertainment center concepts, and LucasArts Attractions, was a design-consulting arm of the Lucasfilm empire. It was at Lucasfilm where Geoff started blending various forms of traditional entertainment with hospitality and retail based real estate projects. After Lucasfilm, Geoff started his own company and he has since worked with many of the World’s leading real estate developers and entertainment companies on a full spectrum of unique “Entertainment Place-Making Projects” of every size and shape imaginable.
